DURING THE WEEK
GROWTH GROUPS
A key part of our mission is to see everyone mature in Christ. Our Growth Groups are a vital way we do just that. Growth Groups meet weekly and generally have around 8-12 members per group. They are where we get to know each other better, build closer relationships, provide practical care for one another and pray. We spend time reading, discussing and applying God’s Word at the personal level. There is a group leader who facilitates discussion and exploration of God’s Word. Our ideal is that every church member is active in a Growth Group.

We offer a range of groups which meet at different times and locations. Some of our groups meet on a week night, others during the daytime. Some meet in the homes of church members, others at Oceanside. Please contact one of our staff to find out more and to join a group.

IN LOCAL SCHOOLS
Special Religious Education (SRE or Scripture)
Qualified SRE teachers from Oceanside Anglican teach Scripture at La Perouse, Matraville Soldier’s Settlement, Chifley and Malabar Primary schools, a total of 14 classes each week. Our aim is to teach the children who Jesus is, so they can grow in their personal relationship with our heavenly Father through Jesus. We use the authorised Primary SRE program for the Sydney Anglican Diocese (https://cepconnect.com.au/curriculum).
